Amy Jo Lauber, CFP®

I believe that professional, objective and thoughtful financial advice significantly improves the lives of my clients.

My work has three core values that I offer and expect from my clients:

1. Trust which fosters integrity, openness and consistency.

2. Presence which encourages active listening and allows humility, understanding and appreciation to grow.

3. Hope which promotes optimism, change, humor and authenticity.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Lauber Financial Planning is a Registered Investment Adviser. As such, I am a fiduciary; my advice must be deemed to be in your best interest.

My mission is to work with people of all income and wealth levels to help them take control of their finances so that they can make good decisions and experience peace and abundance.

I believe that money is a tool to help us live lives that reflect our deepest values and beliefs as well as our goals and priorities.

I help people realize that they can stop wandering and squandering when it comes to money, that they can manage their money well.

Defining “enough” and “The Good Life” are the first steps to getting what you want out of life and will help you decide the role your money plays in your life.

Experience: 1993-present

Lauber Financial Planning July 2010-present. In 2010 I realized that there was a need for financial advice for everyone; not just for those people with money to invest. Financial planning involves all aspects of money, not just investments. I designed my business around that basic tenet: professional, objective advice.

Prior to starting Lauber Financial Planning, I served as the Director of Financial Planning at Harold C. Brown & Co., LLC, as a Wealth Management Consultant for HSBC Bank USA, and as an account Executive for The Copeland Companies. I have also taught the CFP® Capstone Case Analysis Course at Bryant & Stratton College and the Ethics Program for the CFP Continuing Education Requirement for the Financial Planning Association.

Publications

Living Inspired and Financially Empowered: Aligning Our Spiritual and Material Lives published May 2012, Peace & Abundance: A Workbook was published December 2015, my blog “LIFE: Live Inspired, Financially Empowered,” and several articles for the Financial Planning Association’s consumer website.

Education

I received my BS in Consumer & Family Affairs from the State University of New York College at Buffalo in 1989 and earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM designation in 2000.
